Revanth Fiasco: Lokesh In Damage Control Mode

The reports of Telangana Telugu Desam Party working president and Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy’s possibility of defecting to the Congress party has triggered a lot of commotion in the TDP.

In a damage control exercise, TDP national general secretary and Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh summoned Telangana TDP MLA from Sattupalli Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and discussed the latest developments in the party’s Telangana unit.

He called for an emergency meeting of all the Telangana TDP leaders in Hyderabad on Friday and sort out the concerns of the party leaders.

Now, the question is whether Revanth would attend the meeting convened by Lokesh. If he skips the meeting, it gives a fair indication that he is firm on quitting the TDP and joining the Congress party.

If he attends the meeting, he would definitely raise all the issues including the nexus between several Andhra TDP leaders and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government and it would result in fireworks.

In any case, Revanth will come out in the open only after the return of TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu next week.

And it remains to be seen how many Telangana TDP leaders would join him in coming out of the TDP.
