Suffice to say that Jaipal Reddy is one man who speaks his mind. Therefore it comes as no surprise to learn that he told the High Command that the Party was making a mistake in supporting the JNU students.

Besides the media did not give much coverage to Rohit’s participation in a rally condemning the execution of Yakub Memon.
Also, Yakub Memon was promised asylum if he came back to India. So, there are people who sympathized with his death. But there is absolutely no sympathy among the public at all for Afzal Guru who orchestrated the attack on the Indian Parliament.
Therefore, supporting the students is sowing doubts in the minds of the people regarding the integrity of the Congress,” said Jaipal Reddy to the High Command.
