Reddy Declares Himself A Boss!

Reddy Declares Himself A Boss!

With just a little over two years left for the next assembly elections, the Congress party in Telangana has realised that it has to step up its gears to capitalise on the gradual anti-establishment atmosphere building up in the state.

The only problem in the Congress party is that there are too many aspirants for the chief minister post and everybody tries to project himself as the leader.

However, in the last few months, these leaders have lost their confidence and are not in a position to take on the mighty Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

This is perhaps why Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy seems to have come to the conclusion that there is no alternative to him in leading the Congress party in the next elections. Before anybody made any claim, Uttam declared that he would lead the party from the front in the next elections.

What is more interesting is that Uttam said he would pick up the candidates for the assembly seats well in advance and announce their names a year before the elections.

It would mean, he would prepare the Congress party for the battle in advance. This was the strategy adopted by Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh in 2014 elections. And Uttam thinks it would work in Telangana, too!
