Popular political strategist and consultant to the YSR Congress party Prashant Kishor seems to be giving innovative ideas to party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy that would go a long way in taking the people into the state.
While giving a comprehensive strategy for Jagan’s proposed padayatra from October 27, Prashant has suggested a three-pronged action plan to the party leaders and cadre as a precursor to the padayatra in the next 60 days.
Addressing the party’s extended executive meeting held at the Lotus Pond, Prashant came out with this action plan.
As part of the strategy, the party would first organise “Navaratna Sabhas” in all the constituencies between August 11 and 29.
The booth-level party workers should go from door to door and explain to the people the nine promises made by Jaganmohan Reddy at the party plenary.
They would also conduct a people’s ballot on the promises made and implemented by the TDP government.
In the second phase, the party would take up a comprehensive membership drive in the name of “YSR family” from September 11 to October 2.
The party would invite as many people as possible to become members of the party. Apart from issuing the membership slip, the party cadre would distribute pamphlets of Jagan’s nine promises among the common people.
At the same time, they would get an interactive voice response from Jagan, who would give a call to the people to strengthen the YSR family.
In the third step, the party would organise “Vijaya Shankhaaravam” from October 2 to October 25, wherein the party cadre would conduct village level meetings to explain to the people about Jagan’s proposed padayatra and gear up the people to represent their issues to Jagan.
If everything goes according to the plan, Jagan would kick start his padayatra in a rejuvenated form!
