Now, Harish To Drag Revanth To Court

Irrigation Minister on Friday castigated Telangana TDP leader Revanth Reddy for his baseless remarks alleging ‘sand mafia’ activities in the State.

Talking to mediapersons at the Secretariat media point here on Friday, Harish Rao warned he would file a defamation case against the TDP leader for making such baseless allegations.

Harish also warned Revanth Reddy that he would drag the latter to the court if he failed to prove the allegations in 24 hours.

“Revanth Reddy should apologize or prove the allegations, otherwise he would face serious repercussions”, Harish said.

The minister also condemned Revanth Reddy’s remarks as baseless and aimed at maligning the State government for political mileage.

Harish maintained that they would not hesitate to take stern action against all those involved in illegal sand mining. Revanth Reddy is known for adopting a pro-Andhra Pradesh stand and launching an anti-Telangana campaigning since the beginning”, he charged.

“The TDP leaders, with no other go, are resorting to mudslinging activities and the government would not remain a silent spectator”, he warned.

He also recalled that Revanth Reddy had failed to prove similar allegations made in the recent times. “This is to bring bad name to the government”, he said and asked the Opposition parties to mend their ways.
