If the reports doing rounds in some media circles are to be believed, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is most likely to go in for yet another reshuffle of the cabinet shortly.
The news itself is surprising as Naidu had earned quite a few disgruntled elements within the party, as he could not accommodate many people and had to drop a couple of others.
Now, if he expands or reshuffles the cabinet again, there would be more disgruntlement in the party as he had to drop some and take some others.
What is more surprising is the news that he might drop the two ministers belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party – Kamineni Srinivas and Manikyala Rao. If this report is true, Naidu is heading for a separation from the BJP for good.
May be, he has got the reports from New Delhi that the BJP itself wants to sever the alliance with the TDP. It would mean there would be realignment of political forces in the state by 2019.
Of the two, Kamineni might quit the BJP and join the TDP, if he wants to retain his cabinet post, while Manikyala Rao might remain in the BJP. And that would be an interesting political scenario before 2019!
