Naidu kutumbam to counter YSR kutumbam!

Last week, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy launched an innovative scheme in the name of 'YSR Kutumbam' designed by the team of his political strategist Prashant Kishore, with a view to enrolling into the party at least one crore new members, who were in the past beneficiaries of various welfare schemes introduced by YSR.

This drive is supposed to continue till the first week of October, so that this YSR Kutumbam would be part of Jagan’s padayatra commencing in the last week of October.

Now, even the Telugu Desam Party has started imitating this scheme. On Saturday, TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has called for implementation of a similar programme, though he did not give it any name.

He called upon the party workers to see that the TDP flag flies on every house and one person from each family should have Telugu Desam membership in the entire State.

He asked the leaders to meet every person and paste stickers of the party on each door during the Intintiki Telugu Desam Party programme which is scheduled to be held for 50 days from September 11.

He stressed the need to win hearts of people by meeting them and as part of it he would also participate in the inaugural programme in Visakhapatnam on Monday.

“It is not meant to show our strength. We are going to meet people to console them if they are in problems while understanding ground level realities and challenges at grass root level. Satisfaction levels shall be improved from 80 per cent to more,” he instructed.

The Chief Minister suggested to the leaders to interact with people with humility to be able to secure positive response from the remaining sections of people.

He asked the leaders to inquire about pension, gas, ration card and other issues of the public while recording their opinions and wishes in a mobile application.
