With popular political strategist Prashant Kishor officially taking over as the consultant for YSR Congress party for the next elections, hectic activity is being witnessed in the party these days in all the assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh.
As part of working out the winning formula for the party, members of the Prashant team – Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC), comprising graduates from various IITs and young research scholars from prestigious institutions, have been deputed them to all corners of the state to know the people’s pulse and also the strengths and weaknesses of the sitting MLAs.
The job entrusted to these research scholars is to find out the strengths and weaknesses of the YSRC, its prospective candidates and sitting MLAs, besides analysing the public opinion on the performance of the Chandrababu Naidu government, the positive and negative points of Naidu, his political strategies, the possible impact of Pawan Kalyan and the strategies of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Sources said the IPAC team members are facing extreme difficulty in communicating with the people and party workers.
Almost all of them are from north India, particularly from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and they don’t know any other language than Hindi and English.
On the other hand, the people in the rural areas of Andhra do not understand Hindi at all, leave alone English.
Even the educated youth of the party are not able to understand the English of the IPAC members because their English slang is different from what we speak in the south.
As a result, the IPAC team members are not able to get the proper feedback from the people and they are forced to depend on local Sakshi reporters to understand the local language.
“This is resulting in wrong feedback being given to the Prashant team,” sources said.
