Komatireddy meets Ramoji: What's up?

Former minister and Nalgonda Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy sprang a surprise on media and political observers on Tuesday by meeting media baron and Eenadu group chairman Ch Ramoji Rao.

It is not exactly known what transpired between the two, but speculations are that Komatireddy had sought the advice of Ramoji on his future course of action – whether to continue in the Congress or take a plunge into the Bharatiya Janata Party.

There was also a talk that Komatireddy brothers might launch their own political party and hence, they sought the support of Ramoji Rao.

It is an open secret that ever since Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy quit the Telangana Telugu Desam Party and joined the Congress, the Komatireddy brothers are feeling suffocated in the party.

They tried to unseat present PCC president Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy with the help of former AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh, but the latter himself was stripped of his post as Telangana in-charge. His successor R C Khuntia made it clear that Uttam will lead the party in the next elections.

And with Revanth’s entry, they started feeling that they have lost all their importance in the Congress party.

So, it is time for the brothers to take an early decision on their political future, but one fails to understand in what way Ramoji Rao, a support of the TDP in Andhra and TRS in Telangana will help Komatireddy brothers, who are dead against both these parties!
