Kill It With Ballot, Not Bullet

The electioneering in Nandyal which is going to by-polls next week has been going on simply one-sided with YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy blazing all the guns at the ruling Telugu Desam Party and its president N Chandrababu Naidu exposing his inept administration in the state.

However, on Wednesday, the electioneering got some cinematic touch with the entry of senior actor and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, who took pot shots at the YSR Congress party in his inimitable cinematic style.

“Eliminate the opposition party with your ballot as there is no place for bullets in democracy,” Balakrishna said, in an apparent reference to Jagan’s comment that Naidu should be shot dead on streets for failing to implement the election promises.

He particularly attacked Silpa brothers – Mohan Reddy and Chakrapani Reddy for ditching the TDP which had given them political rebirth.

“They are hitting at the chest of the mother which fed them. They should be taught a fitting lesson in this election,” he thundered.

Describing the Nandyal by-election as the battle between justice and injustice and between integrity and corruption, the senior actor said the TDP would always stand by justice to the people.

“If you want development of Nandyal, you have to vote for the TDP,” he said.
