KCR's Nawabi-Style Shopping!

KCR's Nawabi-Style Shopping!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is often being described as 'Nizam Nawab of Telangana' in political circles. This is because he does everything in 'Nawabi style' in a grand manner.

Be it announcing cash reward of crores of rupees to sportspersons like Sania Mirza or organising Chandi Yagam by spending crores of rupees or replacing his entire convoy with costly Toyota Prados or buying Rs 5 crore Mercedes Benz or hoisting National Flag at Golconda Fort, all his acts gave him the title of Nizam Nawab of Telangana.

True to his style, KCR went on a shopping spree on Tuesday in Hyderabad to purchase Khadi clothes for himself. Normally, any person is expected to purchase about half-a-dozen pair of clothes and in extreme cases, a dozen pairs.

But KCR placed order for 100 pairs of shirts and trousers at a single go. KCR personally came to Sri Sai Khadi Vastralaya located at Hyderguda near Old MLA quarters, selected the khadi cloth for shirts and trousers and gave his measurements.

He paid Rs 1 lakh as advance. Shop owner said each shirt would cost Rs 1,000 and trouser Rs 2,000, which would mean KCR has to pay the total bill of Rs 3 lakh.

The owner said KCR has been purchasing clothes from their shop for the last 30 years but never got such a huge publicity like it got now since KCR visited their shop as CM.
