Apparently frustrated by his party's failure in securing people's support, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy called upon the people to wake up and question the government.
“The awareness levels among the people should rise and they should question the politicians on their unkept and broken promises,” he said, addressing a gathering in Visakhapatnam district.
He said the change in the system would come only when people question the leaders when they go back on the promises made and the credibility comes under scanner.
The broken promises show the credibility of the leader and people should question this sort of deception as it harms the political system in a bad way, he said. Any political leader going back on the promise should feel the guilt and will think twice before resorting to tall talk and false claims just to win elections.
Jagan said before elections, Chandrababu Naidu has said that the people can redeem their pledged gold from banks, and all loans would be waived unconditionally but he went back on the promise and dealt a huge blow on rural economy.
“He has promised jobs, unemployment stipend, houses among other things but has never fulfilled a single promise,” the YSRC leader said.
