Jagan mentally prepared for attending court

It looks like YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is getting mentally prepared to attend the trial court in Hyderabad every Friday while undertaking his padayatra from November 2.

Jagan, who had a high-level meeting with his party MPs, MLAs and MLCs, besides other senior leaders at Vijayawada on Wednesday to discuss the arrangements for his padayatra, reportedly told them that he might have to be prepared to attend the court proceedings every Friday in the event of the court refusing to grant him exemption for six months.

He asked the party organisers to make arrangements for his visit to Hyderabad every Friday from wherever he is. Apparently, Jagan is of the view that the denial of exemption from attending the court proceedings could be turned to his advantage, as it might generate a lot of sympathy among the people.

He reportedly asked the party leaders to work out strategies to make his Friday court visits to his political advantage.

The meeting discussed the logistics of the padayatra and how to go about with the mass contact agenda. Jagan sought the views of party leaders on what kind of arrangements could be made for the padayatra.

While Jagan is on a tour in one district, the party leaders in the adjacent district should be ready to receive him and make arrangements for his padayatra. A comprehensive blue print has to be prepared for the padayatra, he suggested.

Most of the speakers had suggested that the booth level committees should be strengthened and the outreach should be widened and it was resolved in the meeting that every village should be visited by the cadre and the party flag should be hoisted, they said.
