Former Minister and Telugu Desam Party leader from Chittoor Galla Aruna Kumari is most likely to join the Jana Sena Party of power star Pawan Kalyan, if one were to go by the speculations in the district party circles.
For quite some, Aruna has been quite disgruntled in the TDP, as she has no recognition in the party. She has no position or post in the party, though her son Galla Jayadev is a TDP MP from Guntur.
She had enjoyed a lot of glory and commanded a lot of respect in the district when she was a Minister during the Congress regime.
After joining the TDP, she expected that party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu would give her due respect by making her either an MLC or district party president. But that did not happen!
As a result, Aruna has been keeping herself away from party activities in the district for quite some time now. Initially, she used to attend the party programmes whenever Naidu came to the district, but nowadays, she has not been meeting him even during the CM’s visits to Chandragiri.
The other day, Aruna was nowhere to be seen when Naidu came to Chittoor and from there went to his native village Naravaripalle which falls in her constituency.
Added to this, during the recent Sankranti festivities, her followers put up posters in Chandragiri on Aruna’s behalf extending greetings to the people. Surprisingly, there were no pictures of Naidu on the posters, but there were pictures of Pawan Kalyan. This has led to speculation that she might join the Jana Sena Party sooner or later.
But will this fetch her any dividends? When Pawan Kalyan himself is silently backing Naidu , Aruna might not get anything even if she joins the Jana Sena, opine some party leaders.
