Desam MLA All Set To Join BJP!

Desam MLA All Set To Join BJP!

After the defection of nearly a dozen MLA into the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the last three years, the Telugu Desam Party in Telangana has been left with just three MLAs – A Revanth Reddy form Kodandal, S Venkata Veeraiah from Khammam and R Krishnaiah from L B Nagar.

Of the three, Krishnaiah has been keeping away from the TDP activities and is focussing more on his favourite passion – achieving 50 per cent reservations to Backward Classes in education, employment and politics. He is still heading the All India OBC Welfare Association.

According to the latest reports, Krishnaiah has decided to quit the TDP and join the Bharatiya Janata Party sooner or later. Of late, he has been issuing statements praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his schemes.

After the Modi government announced categorisation of OBCs, Krishnaiah openly called all the OBC to support the BJP.

This has led to the talk that the TDP MLA is planning to join the BJP. May be, he may not do it immediately, but he may do it just before the next elections.

After all, he doesn’t want to get a bad name by joining the BJP while continuing to be the TDP MLA.
