Warring Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh K Chandrasekhar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu respectively have got yet another chance to come face to face and shake hands with each other.
The occasion is the customary “At Home” get-together to be hosted by Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations.
Narasimhan, who is the Governor of both the Telugu States, invited Naidu and KCR to the function. And if they turn up, it will be the best opportunity for the two CMs to see eye to eye.
Both the Chief Ministers attended the At Home party of the Governor on the last Independence Day, the first one after bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
It was a jovial meeting and both Naidu and KCR shook hands and laughed heartily. However, this year, there is no such possibility in the wake of the bitter political atmosphere surrounding the cash-for-vote and phone tapping allegations.
Sources said Naidu is unlikely to attend the Governor’s party, as he would be hoisting national flag at Vijayawada on the Independence Day. So that would be the excuse!
