CEO In Chandrababu Wakes Up Again!

CEO In Chandrababu Wakes Up Again!

We all know well that how N.Chandrababu Naidu loved to call himself as 'Chief Executive Officer' (CEO) rather than Chief Minister, when he ruled the Undivided AP for 9 years from 1995 to 2004.

He used to take government officials and employees to task in public meetings over their negligence in discharging duties or demanding bribes from public to get their works done.

He used to lash out at government officials and staff in full public view during “Janmabhoomi” and “Shramadaanam” programmes.

There were instances of some employees suffering heart strokes and deaths unable to bear the insult and humiliation before the public which earned him the image of ‘anti-employee’, which ultimately resulted in entire government staff working against TDP in 2004 elections benefitting Congress party and in making YSR as CM.

Naidu struggled for nine years to regain the confidence of government staff by making padayatras and deekshas.

He issued public statements repeatedly that he was a changed man now and would not harass or trouble government employees. He admitted troubling government staff earlier and said it was a mistake.

Now Naidu after becoming CM again remained quiet for 16 months and maintained ‘friendly relations’ with employees. But all of a sudden, he became strict again and started issuing warnings to employees reminding them of “CEO” again.

Recently, he took revenue staff to task in a public meeting in Nellore. Later, he issued a stern warning to all officials and staff to move to Amaravathi by June 2, 2016 else they have face the consequences.

Though employees are not objecting to their shifting to Amaravathi, they are raising a simple question that the government does not even know where the Secretariat and government offices will be located in Amaravathi and how can they take a decision on moving out from Hyderabad without a clarity on this issue.

Employees unions are feeling that the “CEO” in Naidu has woke up again and his recent warnings and threats give enough indications that they would be in for more trouble from CEO Naidu.
