In a stunning decision, the TS government has imposed a burden of Rs 1,813 crore on the people in the form of power tariff hike and RTC bus fare hike.
Honestly, is there one genuine benefit that has accrued to the people of Telangana after bifurcation? Except for caste and community bhavans being sanctioned and Bathukamma and Bonalu festivals being given State patronage, what benefits has the agitation yielded to the Telanganites?
Especially to the students, farmers and middle-classes who played a central role in the agitation? The cases against the students are still pending, farmers continue to take their lives and the middle-classes have nothing to cheer about.
Destroying existing structures and rebuilding them for making money from the realtors seems to be the only objective of the government. Would any sane person think of felling KBR Park for laying roads? But the Telanganites deserve this!
They put paid to rationality when caught up in the rhetoric of KCR, they allowed their emotions to take over and made the Andhras, enemies for life. They are now paying the price for it!
