Akhila upset with Naidu over Gangula?

It looks like the admission of former MP Gangula Pratap Reddy into the Telugu Desam Party by its president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has upset Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, daughter of late MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy, whose death resulted in the by-election to Nandyal assembly seat.

Though Akhila is putting up a brave front, she reportedly expressed her resentment before her family members and also the followers of Bhuma family.

Her anguish was glaringly evident when she told media that Gangula’s entry was not of much use to the TDP in Nandyal or Allagadda.

“I don’t know why the party president has taken the decision to admit Gangula into the TDP. I have not spoken to Naidu about the latest development yet. However, I think the party president would not do any injustice to me personally and Bhuma family in general,” she observed.

She also made an appeal to her followers not to get disturbed by the entry of Gangula into the TDP.

“We have a strong support base in Nandyal and Allagadda. So, we don’t have to worry about it,” Akhila said.

On the other hand, Gangula made it clear that her entry into the TDP had nothing to do with his differences with the Bhuma family.

“I had problems with Bhuma Nagi Reddy. He is not there right now. And why should I have expect any troubles from Akhila or others? They are still kids,” he said.
