Democracy for any state is quintessential. Politics should often have a healthy opposition for the betterment of the society and state for it progress in the right direction. Unfortunately if the government plays the devils role, the result is Andhra Pradesh. Over 200 attended the program.
Raman Kristapati welcomed the crowd and recalled the fond memories during the golden rule of Dr. YSR.
He expressed that it is a pleasure to be born during the era when Dr. YSR was alive and rendered services to the people of Andhra Pradesh. He then called upon Subba Reddy Kondu Dallas City In-Charge to conduct the program.
Candles were lit and paid floral tributes by eminent community leaders Venkatrami Reddy former APPSC chairman who was in town on a holiday, former Nizamabad MP Atmacharan Reddy, Dr. Sridhar Reddy Korsapati, Dr. Pavan Pamadurthi, Ramana Putlur, Srinivasa Obulareddy, Mani Annapureddy, Dr. Rami Reddy Buchipudi, Viswanath Kichili, Raman Reddy Kristapati, Mahesh Adibhatla, Phalgun Reddy, Bhima Penta, Naseem Sheik, Thirumal Reddy Kumbum, Prabandh Reddy, Chandu Reddy, Siva Nagireddy, Jayachandra Reddy, Rajendra Polu,Uma Mahesh Kurri, Ravi Ariminda, Satish Bandaru among others.
Venkatrami Reddy, former APPSC chairperson and UPSC member remembered how Dr. YSR’s life is a great example as a leader, a mentor, a friend, a follower and much more, which are rare to find in one person in this century.
Former Nizamabad MP Atmacharan Reddy recalled his fond association with late Dr. YSR and said there are many leaders who emerged but no one could match the charisma of the then Chief Minister.
Dr. Sridhar Reddy Korsapati lauded the services of Dr. YSR who could rise above party and regional levels in carrying out welfare activities.
He mentioned the immediate need for YSR followers is to support the YSRCP candidate in the Nandyal By-Election and send a strong message to the Telugu community.
Dr. Pavan Pamadurthi speaking to the audience reminisced few instances which showed the magnanimity of Dr. YSR and his love and affection towards Telugu people.
Mani Annapureddy sharing his views on the grave political scenarios in Andhra Pradesh appealed people to take up Social Media as a weapon to counter the false propaganda of the ruling government.
Mahesh Adibhatla speaking at the occasion felt bringing Prashant Kishore on board was a welcome sign and felt Y.S. Jagan taking up Padayatra for the people of Andhra Pradesh shows that YSRCP is ready for the 2019 elections!
Later Prominent speakers from town spoke in length and breadth about the achievements Late Dr. YSR did for the state. They mentioned the political journey of Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy is no short of peoples saga and mentioned YSR was one of the tallest leaders who stood by all sections of the society with his welfare schemes and by successfully implementing them during his regime.
Speakers went on to say how Andhra Pradesh rose from the bottom to become one of the leading states in the country and how it lost its charm and progress after the beloved leader departed. They recollected the wonderful instances Dr. YSR used to work and opined Dr. YSR will be remembered for the generations to come and said Andhra Pradesh is fortunate to have leaders such as Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. They recalled how Rajasekhara Reddy became the leader of the masses who worked for the welfare of the people beyond regions, beyond caste and beyond self-interests.
Later a cake was cut marking Dr. YSR Jayanti. Ramana Putlur delivered the vote of thanks to all who attended the birthday celebrations of Dr. YSR.
