Veteran film producer R B Choudary died in a tragic car accident near Udaipur on Tuesday afternoon, around 3 pm.
The exact reason for the crash and details about others involved are still unclear.
Choudary was a well-known figure in Tamil cinema and founded the Super Good Films banner in 1988. His body is expected to be taken to Chennai, where his final rites will be performed.
He is survived by his wife Mahjabeen and his sons, including actors Jiiva and Jithan Ramesh. Jiiva acted in several films produced by their family banner.
Many from the film industry have expressed grief. Archana Kalpathi and Rajinikanth remembered him as a talented producer and kind person.
In Telugu, he acted in films like Raja, Seenu, Nuvvu Vastavani, Ninne Premistha, Priyamaaina Neeku, Snehamante Idera, Sivaramaraju, Sankranthi and Annavaram, among many others.
His last prominent Telugu film was Godfather, which he co-produced along with Konidela Production Company.
