Director Atlee has long spoken about his ambition to enter Hollywood, and he appears to be planning his career with that larger goal in mind.

His upcoming film Raaka, starring Allu Arjun, is also being positioned with global ambitions.

Atlee has reportedly expressed confidence that taking an Indian film to the Oscars is not an impossible task, provided there is proper planning and a sustained international promotional campaign.

He is said to have indicated that he and his team have already begun working towards that goal.

The filmmaker is reportedly planning an international promotional strategy involving Hollywood-based PR agencies, social media influencers, journalists, and leading publications, similar to the extensive global campaign mounted by S S Rajamouli and his team for RRR.

Atlee reportedly believes strongly that Raaka has the potential to make an impact on the international awards circuit, including the Oscars.

Allu Arjun, who became the first Telugu actor to win the National Film Award for Best Actor, is also said to be keen on taking his next film to a wider global audience.

Whether Raaka eventually makes its mark at the Oscars remains to be seen.

However, it is clear that the team is thinking beyond a conventional Indian release and promotional strategy, with plans to position the film aggressively on the international stage.

  1. If anyone can do it, it is AA with his strong desire for excellence.

I disagree with some of his behaviour, but he is very passionate about cinema and he has all resources to take Telugu film global.

    1. True AA passion towards cinemas is great. He needs to avoid projecting himself with high headed behavior and name it is as hyper activeness. He can (l)earn that from his grandfather Dr. Allu Ramalingaiah gaaru ( who earned respect for his character and dignity along with being actor cum doctor ).

Hope to see a movie with content instead unnecessary hungama happening lately escalating budgets and hyped vfx for no good reason. I wish directors, and main actors of movie(s) realise content and strength of multiple characters developed is the backbone (Hero) for any budget (high / medium / low) movie.
