Generally, fasting is associated with a full day or intermittent fasting for around 18 hours. But this is the story of a person who went much further—fasting for 90 hours.
Mumbai-based entrepreneur and CEO Abhishek Agarwal fasted for 90 hours on his birthday. He described it as a test of hunger and willpower.
The first day was easy. The second day became harder. By the third day, he experienced a sense of “silence”. On the fourth day, he said his mind felt unusually clear. After completing the fast, he felt stronger and more powerful.
However, prolonged fasting causes major changes inside the body.
Initially, the body uses glucose stored in the blood, liver and muscles. As these stores decline, it begins using stored fat. The liver produces ketones for energy. The brain and other organs also start using more ketones. Insulin levels also fall.
The body may break down some muscle protein. Prolonged fasting can cause hunger, weakness, headaches, nausea, irritability and poor concentration. Dehydration and electrolyte disturbances are additional risks.
A 90-hour fast is not suitable for everyone. People with diabetes, certain medical conditions, eating disorders, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding should seek medical advice before fasting.
Agarwal’s experience does not prove that prolonged fasting is safe or beneficial for everyone.

did he drink water during the fast? cuz 90 hours with water is jujubi.
Yes to water
Another show off, the side-effects of his fasting will show up eventually if he has not even had water.
24 hours fasting is ideal every 2 weeks, but in current era i say 24 hours every week is beneficial as the food is adulterated. Another option is to do 15 hours fasting every 4 days for people who find it hard, ie stop eating by 6 and resume next day at 9 AM. !
He regularly drank water
Why not 100 hours
Start with 12-16 hours of intermittent fasting on a weekly basis. Then move to 24 hours, 48 hours, and 78 hours. During 48-72 hours of fasting you will be seeing expected results. Gradual progression is the key to low risk and a pathway to success.
