Telugu Association Of Rochester, MN Ugadi 2013 celebrations were conducted with great enthusiasm on April 13th at Peace United Church. The event attracted a full house and was a grand success.
Audience were treated to a variety of cultural events in music, dance and fashion show . Event started off with Ganesh puja followed by Welcome message from the committee members.
Local community leaders, Post Bulletin and KTTV were invited to showcase Indian culture and traditions. Michael Wojcik Youngest city council member of Rochester was the guest of honor, he enthralled the audience with a few words in Telugu and presented the trophies to all the participants. The highlight of the event is guys group dance which has got lot of applause.
TARMN Executive committee members Sankar Bandi, Praveen Gurramkonda, Padma Dasari, Sarita Kadiri, Sreedevi Koppula, Kanthi Mudundi and Sumalatha Yerriboyina thanked the kids, parents and volunteers for making Ugadi 2013 a memorable one and would like to do many more of these events in future. Event adjourned with Indian and American National Anthems.
