The inauguration pooja of TASC (Telugu Association Of Southern California) was held at Irvine mandir on 01/19/13. Venkateswara kalyanam was performed on the special occasion followed by palanquin seva by the new president of TASC Nageshwar Rao and his team. The day was brightened by the presence of over 200 well-wishers and supporters of TASC.
Pooja was performed to initiate the activities and seek the blessings of the lord for a successful 2013 term.
There was a festive atmosphere at the temple. The day started with President welcoming all the guests and felicitating them with TASC (Telugu Association Of Southern California) logo printed tri-colored shawls and TASC badges. Then the President peformed the pooja rituals in a very traditional manner with several other families.
This was a unique occasion where pooja was performed along with the Venkateswara swamy Kalyanam and Pallaki Seva with everyone chanting prayers and slokas.
They were all happy to be a part of this auspicious event.
On this occassion, Mr.Nageshwara Rao thanked everyone for attending the pooja event and coming in such large numbers to extend their support to him.
He expressed his gratitude for giving him the opportunity to serve the SoCal telugu people. He mentioned that during his 2013 Presidency term he is planning on doing lot of memorable programs and also involve in Community oriented charity service events. He has a dedicated volunteer team and with their passion and support from TASC members he is confident of overcoming any obstacle. He strongly emphasized that the members are the foundation of this great TASC organization and their feedback is most welcome. He requested all the local Telugu people to take membership and be active part of this historic TASC organization which is one of the oldest Telugu organizations in the USA.

Several philanthropists and supporters of TASC have pledged their donations for the smooth functioning of the TASC. The success of the inauguration function paved way for many more remarkable events in the near future.
Everyone wished good luck and a successful term for the President. The day concluded with a sumptuous delicious pure telugu meals. Panasa Pottu kura was the specialty of the meal.
The hospitality of the TASC president and his team was greatly applauded by the attendees.
To mark the begining of a great era in TASC history, huge donation pledges from many philonthropists were recieved from across USA not only from So Cal.
