Banners come up in favour of decentralisation

Banners come up in favour of decentralisation

As the farmers of Amaravati are proceeding towards Arasavalli Sun temple in Srikakulam district, banners have come up in the West Godavari district against them.

The banners allege that the Amaravati payatra is a real estate plan, while the three capitals plan is about decentralisation.

The banners have also asked the farmers to go back. The banners have come up in Tadepalligudem first and then slowly spreading to other places.

It started with the farmers speaking politics in their yare. They threw an open challenge to Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani when they reached the town.

A woman slapped her thigh throwing a challenge to Kodali Nani to face them. She alleged that the former minister was hiding out of fear.

These political statements have made the ruling party to take a call to create awareness among people on the decentralisation.

Party general secretary and government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy had asked the party leaders to organise events to create awareness among people on three capitals issue.

This followed the surface of the posters in Tadepalligudem.

The farmers during their walk have been pledging to defeat Jagan Mohan Reddy and reinstate Chandrababu Naidu as the chief minister.

These statements from the farmers clearly say that the farmers are leading a political battle and not just the capital issue.

It is to be seen how far this battle would go as the farmers march forward with their pro-TDP and anti-YSR Congress slogans and hate speeches on one side and the ruling YSR Congress activists coming up with counter campaigns on the other.
