NATS Mens Volleyball and Ladies Bowling Tournaments Grand Success in LA!

For the the first time ever, NATS launched competitive tournaments for men and women across LA as part of the American Telugu Sambaralu 2015 Kickoff.

The response was tremendous: 44 teams (with 8 players each) participated in the Mens Volleyball Tournament and more than 155 females competed in the Women Bowling Tournament.

Men Volleyball Tournament
NATS Sambaralu 2015 Kickoff Tournament exceed expectations and proved to be a grand success as finals took place in Torrance last weekend at the world class LA Galaxy Soccer Center. There were a total of 44 teams that competed, 12 of which qualified for grand finals.

On every direction, you could almost always spot a spike, air jump or a smash taking place. That was the amazing energy of the participants in this tournament. It was simply an exhibit of class as every competing team awed the audience at the tourney.

“The goal is to offer Telugu community a very successful and well organized Volleyball Tournament that the Los Angeles region has ever seen, and it feels happy to have accomplished that mission. Speical Thanks to Sridhar Addanki , Suresh Ambati and Shayam Gundala for their efforts on Finals ” said Suresh Aynampudi, the Chief Organizer of this NATS Sambaralu Kickoff 2015 Volleyball Tournament, at the concluding event.

The final of this tournament provided a great competition between two of the strongest teams in the tourney, LA Super Kings and the defending champions, Arcadia Royals. They competed against each other showing immense talent and enthusiasm with discipline. The Royals showed the Super Kings showed the power of their previous experience as the defending champs went on to score their second title in a row.

NATS Vice President Kishore Kantamaneni said “Excellent planning and volunteers expertise helped conduct the Tournaments in such a big way.  The volunteer space at NATS is filled with selfless people who did fabulous job in organizing the event. I am proud of each and every volunteer.”

NATS Board Member Veeriah Chundu also attended the event and expressed that "This kind of sports events conducted by NATS in the region led to the continued success of the sport and also spread the sense of camaraderie amongst the Telugu community in Los Angeles region.”

NATS Well wisher and well known Nandan Potluri expressed “Happy to see many Telugus are participating in sports and definitely boot for any organization to spend time and funds on sports related activity. Appriated every participant for sportiveness and unlimited energy”

NATS would like to appreciate each and every one of these volunteers and participants, who helped make these tournaments and the 2015 NATS Sambaralu Kickoff a Grand Success! Thank you!

This was an amazing win for our Telugu Community to see so many people come together and work hard as a team.

A total of 60 dedicated volunteers worked tremendously to organize and accelerate this Volleyball Tournament.

Women Bowling Tournament
For the first time, NATS conducted a one-of-its-kind Women Bowling Tournament as part NATS Sambaralu 2015 kickoff.

NATS’s very own BOD Dr. Chundu Veeriah expressed his happiness “We wanted to give a  fun and untraditional way. We felt bowling tournament would be agreat sport to break the mold of traditional sport tournament so far conducted by us and any otherTelugu organization across America. This was the exactly the way NATS Sambaralu 2015 team  want to kickoff the mega event.”

NATS would like to appreciate each and every one of these volunteers and participants, who helped make these tournaments and the 2015 NATS Sambaralu Kickoff a Grand Success! Thank you!

A total of 15 volunteers help set up and run this event successfully.
