Media fanning fire between TDP, YSRC

Media fanning fire between TDP, YSRC

The war of words between the YSR Congress party and the Telugu Desam Party during the ongoing Nandyal by-elections has been providing a lot of fodder to the media.

Leaders from both the parties are at their abusive best just to catch the attention of the media, which is fanning the flames between them.

The fiery speech of YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in which he said there was nothing wrong in shooting Naidu did not evoke much response from the TDP leaders on the day one, but the sharp reactions started only after the electronic media channels repeatedly telecast his comments and the print media projected them in headlines on the second day.

Since then, the media persons have been making merry by instigating leaders of both the parties to hurl abuses and counter-abuses at each other.

The flames continue to rage even on Sunday, this time on Roja’s comments against TDP minister Akhila Priya.

TDP MLC Aadireddy Apparao questioned the character of Roja, who pointed out that Akhila had no respect for Indian culture as she wears only chudidars and pajamas.

Aadireddy said that someone like Roja who does shows like Jabardasth and passing vulgar comments in the show is surely an embarrassment for all women folk and that she has no right to take on CM or Akhila Priya!

Roja said that it was TDP leaders who taught them culture of using such language in meetings and recalled how many referred to Jagan as psycho, rabies affected dog and a man who deserves to be hung in the middle of the road and so on! She said that if Jagan's remarks are wrong then they were prompted by TDP leaders’ cheap remarks day in and out.
