Five college students died in the river Krishna river, when a boat carrying them overturned. The youths were on their way to a bathing ghat for a holy dip during the ongoing Pushkaram.
The boat capsized near Chandarlapadu in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna district.
As per the district officials, the boat capsized when the group was trying to reach an undesignated bathing ghat for a holy dip during the ongoing Krishna Pushkaram (Krishna Kumbh)
Four bodies were fished out and search is on to trace the other. Total 11 members were on-board the boat when the incident occurred.
