Hundis Removed From Secretariat

Hundis Removed From Secretariat

It is a known fact that the Andhra Pradesh government has asked the people of Seemandhra to voluntarily contribute for the development of the new capital city.

Already, many people have given large sums to this cause. Meanwhile, the AP government has installed hundis in the L Block of Secretariat for collection of funds.

However, with mounting criticism from various quarters, the hundis have now been removed.

Following a suggestion from the Finance Ministry, three hundis in Secretariat and one hundi at the CM’s residence were installed.

It was anticipated that people from various walks of life would donate for the capital city development fund.

But after lots of criticism, the chief secretary of AP IYR Krishna Rao has instructed that the hundis must be removed with immediate effect.
