Pawan Kalyan, well-known star and Jana Sena president, has just held a huge meeting in Guntur and it was interesting to see that Chandra Babu Naidu and his governance was the prime target of Jana Sena chief.
While reports analyzing and debating Pawan Kalyan's speech have been filling up media space, especially social media space, it is interesting to see how the traditional media has covered the event.
In a rather surprising manner, Eenadu gave a lot of prominence to Jana Sena president's speech and the various points he covered.
In fact, they carried a banner story with the headline 'Praja Droham' highlighting almost all the points raised by Pawan Kalyan against Chandra Babu Naidu and his governance as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
But true to its style, Eenadu also carried or 'leaked' a reaction of Chandra Babu alongside.
On the other hand, Andhra Jyothi focused on the fast-unto-death slogan of Pawan Kalyan for SCS. The editorial team conveniently chose to downplay the various allegations regarding corruption against Chandra Babu and his TDP associates.
Ironically, one paper that could have leveraged from covering Pawan Kalyan's stand, Saakshi, totally let go of the opportunity and relegated the event and Pawan's speech to a small story. While the story did get first page coverage, it nevertheless was a small story.
