YSRCP: Is It Possible In Telangana?

YSRCP: Is It Possible In Telangana?

Now that bifurcation has become a reality, YSRCP is now working on a strategy to ensure that it gets a good percentage of votes during the forthcoming elections.

As the Party foresees a cut in its vote bank in the Telangana region, its leaders are trying to get the party back on track in the newly formed state.

Towards this end, YSRCP honorary president Vijayamma and her daughter Sharmila have decided to tour the region and focus on the issues here.

If the party manages to get six per cent votes, it will be recognized as a national party. Hence, its leaders are trying to reach the mark by contesting in all the Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies.

However, their main focus would be on 50 Assembly and 6 Lok Sabha seats. For starters, the party believes it has good chances of winning in Khammam. Since the public meet of Jagan was a huge success there, its party cadre is confident that they will win during the next elections.

This apart, they are also planning to target Chevella, Malkajgiri, Mehboobabad, Secunderabad constituencies among others. While Chevella and Malkajgiri have Seemandhra voters in lakhs, Secunderabad has predominantly Muslim and Christian voters.

The party intends to lure them by promising YSR welfare schemes. Similarly, they will mainly focus on 50 Assembly seats.

After the bifurcation, the party’s chances in the region have reduced drastically. But the party is looking to attract people with similar ideologies to vote during the forthcoming elections.
