YSRC-TDP Indulging In Mind Games!

YSRC-TDP Indulging In Mind Games!

The ruling Telugu Desam Party and the main opposition YSR Congress party appear to have have been indulging in mind games to outwit each other politically.

For the last couple of months, the TDP leaders, including their president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu have been desperately trying to establish that YSRC has been hand in glove with the BJP to pull down the TDP and weaken the state.

Naidu even accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of harbouring accused in criminal cases like V Vijay Sai Reddy, YSRC MP, in Prime Minister’s Office.

The fact that the YSRC leaders have been targeting only Naidu and going soft towards Modi has lent credence to their allegations that the BJP was behind YSRC.

The TDP chief said there was no wonder if the BJP and YSRC fight the next elections together.

On the other hand, the YSRC seems to be trying to establish that the TDP is gradually tilting towards the Congress party, which was responsible for the bifurcation of the combined Andhra Pradesh and present sorry state of affairs in the state.

The YSRC leaders are pointing out to the alleged secret meeting of the TDP MPs with former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, the recent comments made by senior Congress leaders like Sushil Kumar Shinde in support of the TDP and the open campaign by the TDP leaders for the Congress party in Karnataka.

The latest theory put in circulation in the social media by the YSRC is that the Congress party would have a pre-poll alliance with the TDP in Telangana.

While the TDP is asking for 30 assembly segments and three Lok Sabha seats, the Congress has agreed to give 15-20 assembly segments and two LS seats – Khammam and Malkajgiri, where there are big number of Andhra settlers.

This also could be a sort of mind game by the YSRC leaders as a counter to the TDP’s campaign linking the YSRC with the BJP.
