YSRC Needs To Play Its Cards Cautiously!

YSRC Needs To Play Its Cards Cautiously!

At a time when Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu openly accusing the YSR Congress party of entering into a secret nexus with the Bharatiya Janata Party, the YSRC leaders are yet to learn the tactics of countering such allegations.

On the other hand, their statements and actions are in such a way that they are lending credence to Naidu’s allegations.

Take for example the statement of YSRC MP V Vijay Sai Reddy. He declared that he would give a privilege notice to Naidu for making false allegations on the Prime Minister’s Office and denigrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Instead, he should have said he was issuing a legal notice to Naidu for calling him a criminal and questioning his right to approach the PMO to represent on the state’s issues.

Since Sai Reddy has taken offensive for Naidu’s derogatory comments on PMO, it has given rise to the talk that he indeed has the backing of the PMO.

On Saturday, too, another YSRC MP Y V Subba Reddy made a statement saying that Naidu had pulled out from the NDA for political reasons and not for just Special Category Status (SCS).

His statement came a couple of hours after BJP president Amit Shah’s letter to Naidu was released to the media.

Shah, too, made the same allegation that Naidu had quit the NDA for political reasons and not for the interests of the state. Now, this also has created the impression that Subba Reddy was speaking in the tone of Amit Shah.

“While Chandrababu Naidu did not open his mouth on the issue of SCS during the past four years, he is now talking tall that he would move court which is again a drama. It is time that Chandrababu Naidu tell publicly his political compulsions for pulling out of the coalition,” Subba Reddy said.
