YCP Gives Up In Telangana

Telangana YSRCP MLAs are gearing up for a friendship with the ruling party TRS. Though the party contested the 2014 general elections by itself, this time, the tables seem to have turned.

With the Medak bypoll around the corner, talk in political circles is that YSRCP top cadre has passed on special instructions to its cadre asking them to support the local TRS candidate.

This has come as a blow to YSRCP leaders who were hoping to contest the polls irrespective of their chances of winning or losing. While they were hoping to infuse confidence among the cadre, their leader’s orders have disappointed many.

However, officially, YSRCP has been maintaining a different stand on the issue.

According to them, their leader has a planned strategy to develop the cadre and the party in Telangana. However, there is talk that YSRCP MLAs are in touch with KCR and that KCR has been trying to pull in the sole YSRCP MP into TRS.

So, there is common feeling that YSRCP has given up in Telangana since the top brass haven’t taken up any concrete steps to invigorate the cadre and revive the party in the region.
