“When the Center has already declared Polavaram as a national project, why will the accord permission for Pattiseema which is just a waste of money? They will not allow Pattiseema,” said Daggubati Purandeswari, currently in the BJP.
It is now worthwhile watching the TDP response to this official criticism from its ally, the BJP.
That the BJP has started questioning the need for Pattiseema after Jagan has gone silent on the issue is also worth mentioning.
One thing is clear, though! Relations between the BJP and TDP are already strained over the ‘special status’ issue.
At this juncture, if the Center tries anything to scuttle the Pattiseema project which Naidu is so adamant on, then it could well be the tipping point in the alliance.
