After Chandra Babu doused his high hopes of becoming the assembly floor leader in Telangana, Talasani Srinivasa Yadav is said to be on the brink of turning a rebel leader.
Initially, it was widely believed that he would be made the floor leader and that Errabelli Dayakar Rao would be made the joint chairman of assembly and legislative council.
Eventually, however, the Chairman post was done away with and Errabelli was made the assembly floor leader. Babu had indicated that Talasani would be the deputy floor leader. But Talasani turned down the post. So, Sattupalli MLA Sandru Venkata Veeraiah and Revanth Reddy were made the deputy floor leaders instead. Prakash Goud has been made the party whip and Maganti Gopinadh has been appointed the treasurer.
G Sayanna, Manchireddy Kishan Reddy and Teegala Krishna Reddy will be legislative party secretaries.
There is wide spread discontentment among party cadre as Chandra Babu chose to sideline BCs after promising them the CM’s post in Telangana.
However, since the party is in power in Seemandhra, many have decided to remain silent for now. But the dissent amongst the party cadre is likely to come to the fore in the days to come.
