Will KCR, Naidu Meet In Delhi?

Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who left for New Delhi on Thursday evening, is expected to stay put in the national capital for four days.

While he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday afternoon, he would stay back for three more days for attending the Niti Aayog governing council meeting to be chaired by Modi on Sunday.

In the meantime, he is meeting several Union ministers to represent on the state’s issues and also leaders of other parties to discuss the federal front plans.

What is interesting is that Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu also would be going to New Delhi on Sunday for the Niti Aayog meeting.

Both the chief ministers should invariably have to meet in the meeting hall and exchange pleasantries. Now, the question is whether Naidu and KCR will have any private talk before or after the Niti Aayog meeting.

It has been a long time since both the chief ministers had met each other. Ever since the cash-for-vote case has been reopened, the relations between the two CMs have virtually frozen.

Though KCR said he would also talk to Naidu on the federal front proposal, it did not materialise. But Naidu grabbed the initiative and held talks with other regional party leaders, much to the chagrin of KCR.

It remains to be seen if both the chief ministers break the ice at least when they meet in Delhi.
