Why Is KCR Confined To Farmhouse Mostly?

For the past few weeks, Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao is spending most of his times at the farm house at Erravelli in Medak district, triggering widespread speculations.

In fact, ever since he returned from Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, where he attended the foundation laying ceremony of the new capital of AP, KCR has been mostly confined to the farm house for most days in a week.

The only major public appearance of KCR in the recent past was the launch of dustbin distribution programme of the GHMC and after that, he went back to his farm house.

He is expected to address a major public meeting at Warangal as part of by-elections, but party sources say he has not given any date for that.

A section of party leaders say KCR is concentrating on the proposed Ayutha Chandi Yagam proposed to be held at the farm house sometime in December first week. He is overseeing the arrangements there.

However, another section of party leaders admit in private that the TRS president is not keeping good health and he has been under treatment for his liver ailments for quite some time. Only on doctors’ advice, he comes out once in a while and participates in some official programmes.

One might have noticed that of late, his son and IT minister K T Rama Rao is taking active part in all the official meetings and is even overseeing the party affairs. May be he is preparing ground to step into the shoes of his father, in the event of the latter taking rest on account of health, say sources.
