Even as Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao moved the High Court seeking stay on his arrest by the CBI in connection with the titanium scandal, pressure is mounting on the authorities to arrest him. Naturally, KVP’s political rivals are gunning for his head.
Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said Governor E S L Narasimhan should prove his sincerity by giving permission for the arrest of K V P Ramachandra Rao for his alleged involvement in Titanium scam as a U S court indicted him in a case.
The TDP chief has addressed a letter to the Governor today requesting him to take immediate action to arrest KVP as requested by the FBI through the CBI, and said KVP has brought disrepute to the State Government because of his shady deals in the Titanium scam. He said the Governor should not resort to politics in this regard and he should respond to it.
