Who're the other Reddys to follow Revanth?

The manner in which Telangana Telugu Desam Party working president and Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy raised a banner of revolt against Seemandhra leaders for allegedly joining hands with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in Telangana has lent credence to the reports that he is trying to build up a strong Reddy force in the state to counter Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Revanth, who had held secret parleys with the Congress high command in Delhi, is understood to have told the latter that he would be able to bring more Reddy leaders from the TDP into the Congress. This will add strength to the Congress, as the Reddy community is the only force which has the monetary strength and capacity to take on KCR.

Sources said at least three major Reddy leaders from the TDP are ready to follow Revanth into the Congress party.

The names doing rounds in media circles are: politburo member Revuri Prakash Reddy from Warangal, Uma Madhava Reddy from Bhongir and E Peddi Reddy from Karimnagar.

Several other lower-rung leaders from the community are also keen on joining the Congress party, Revanth told the Congress leadership.

It would mean there would be large scale caste polarisation in the next elections in Telangana. While KCR has already wooed a large number of BC groups with various schemes, he is now aiming at garnering support from Kamma sections by joining hands with the TDP!
