This was the question media persons asked Governor ESL Narasimhan when he addressed his last press conference as the head of Andhra Pradesh, which would be split into two on June 2.
The Governor politely declined to give rating on the performance of three Chief Ministers of AP, including late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, K Rosaiah and N Kiran Kumar Reddy. “Being the Governor, I cannot make such statements”, he added.
He also refused to make any comment on the criticism against him for his stand taken during peak Telangana movement He, however, extended thanks to those who all supported him during his four years stint as the Governor.
“I could maintain law and order for four years without a bullet being fired, but last two years witnessed some difficulties related to statehood demand,” he added.
Narasaimhan, who was made in-charge of Telangana State, said the President’s Rule will come to an end on the Appointed Day.
“I will take oath of office as Governor of new Telangana State in additional capacity at Raj Bhavan at 6.30 am before KCR takes oath at 8.15 am,” he explained.
