Where Is Kiran Kumar Reddy?

Where Is Kiran Kumar Reddy?

It's nearly 18 months since the erstwhile State of Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated to form the separate Telangana State.

And people of both the States have forgotten one man who strongly opposed the bifurcation tooth and nail till the eleventh hour: former AP Chief Minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Whether one remembers Kiran or not, but Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders recall his name now and then to claim that all the apprehensions created by former Chief Minister about the ill-effects of bifurcation, are ill-founded.

And they say those who had opposed bifurcation are now forced to take political sanyas – like Lagadapati Rajagopal or Kiran Kumar Reddy.

On Wednesday, too, Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj K T Rama Rao wondered where Kiran Kumar Reddy had disappeared now.

He said the political life of the former Chief Minister had come to an end after formation of Telangana State.

He said Kiran Kumar Reddy, who belittled Telangana sentiment, was nowhere to be seen and his political life is in wilderness now after de-merger of united Andhra Pradesh.

“Within six months of Telangana State formation, the TRS regime could tide over power crisis with persistent efforts,” he claimed.
