YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's ongoing “Gadapa Gadapaku YCP” campaign to expose the failures of the Chandrababu Naidu government has evoked good response in several parts of the state, but there is also a hush talk going on within the party.
According to sources, several seniors are learnt to have expressed view that it should have been better if Jagan roped in his mother Vijayamma and sister Sharmila, too, in the campaign since it would have given a lot of strength to the party.
By keeping the mother and sister at bay, Jagan wants to grab all the attention creating an impression that it is a one-man show.
In fact, Vijayamma and Sharmila shouldered the responsibility of running the party when Jagan was in jail for over a year. Both the women have developed rapport not only with the party cadre, but also with the people.
“They would have been a great help to the party in this hour of crisis. By keeping them at home, Jagan has lost a lot of support,” a party leader observed.
