When're you leaving party? Diggy asks Danam

Senior Congress leader and former minister Danam Nagender got the irritation of sorts, when AICC in-charge of AP and Telangana affairs Digvijay Singh called him to enquire whether he was quitting the party and if so, when.

Nagender, who is presently heading the Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee, has been complaining to the High Command for quite some over the party seniors ignoring him in various party activities.

He also expressed displeasure over his diminished role in the Greater Hyderabad region. For the last few days, he has been staying away from party activities.

During the recent protest by the Congress leaders over the growing number of suicides, Nagender was conspicuous by his absence.

Against this backdrop, Digvijay called up Danam on phone on Thursday and enquired whether he was planning to leave the party.

Danam, however, reportedly told Digvijay that he has no idea of quitting the party but some people were spreading rumors in this regard.

He wanted that the party take him into confidence while planning programmes. Stating that he would like to continue in the Congress party, the former Khairatabad MLA said that he was being targeted by some leaders within his own party.
