Telangana revolutionary singer-turned-spiritual leader-turned-politician Gaddar, who has recently launched a political front to emerge as an alternative force to Telangana Rashtra Samithi, has gone silent for the last couple of months.
There were virtually no takers for his party and his proposed public meeting in Hyderabad has not materialised so far. Thus, his political ambition has remained a non-starter.
On Saturday, Gaddar suddenly appeared in Kadapa for reasons known only to him. He told media there that he was like Potuluri Veerabrahmendra Swamy, who predicted future of the country several centuries ago. Like Veerabrahmendra Swamy, he would also dedicate his life to the welfare of the people, he said.
Stating his close association with the Kadapa district, Gaddar said that both the Telugu states - Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are facing farmers' issues which is on the rise now.
Pointing out that many leaders have been born in Rayalaseema and that many Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh have come from the region only, he called upon the youngsters of Rayalaseema to elect a new leader to bring in equality in the society.
Hinting indirectly towards a political entry, Gaddar said that he wants to work towards the development of the district.
