'We Are In No Position To Fight': Murali Mohan

'We Are In No Position To Fight': Murali Mohan

After promising Andhra Pradesh people that they will fight tooth and nail to ensure that the Centre allots special status to newly carved Andhra Pradesh, it is now conveniently singing a new tune.

In his latest statement, Rajamundry TDP MP Maganti Murali Mohan has made it clear that TDP was in no position to fight with ruling BJP.

He said that the TDP MPs did not have the luxury of fighting with the Centre as they were in a rather sensitive situation. Murali Mohan added that they could only take what the Centre gave them and did not have the privilege to raise their voice against BJP.

The MP pointed out that during Vajpayee’s term, TDP had an advantage as it played a crucial role in the NDA government. However, since Narendra Modi came to power with absolute majority, it totally changed the game, he said adding that the TDP MPs were now lobbying to get funds and aid from various departments by meeting up with respective ministers.

While JC Diwaker Reddy touched upon the same point in a harsh tone, Murali Mohan said the same in a more sophisticated manner.

Well, at the end of the day, looks like ‘special status’ will remain an unattainable dream for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
