The sensational plot – Operation Garuda, revealed by Tollywood actor – of a national party to destabilise the government in Andhra Pradesh with the help of a popular regional party and a newly formed political party so as gain foothold in the south – was quite interesting but hardly has any takers.
Former Congress MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar, known for his witty remarks, said Actor’s story was purely a fabricated one which was effectively narrated by the actor.
“He just read out a thriller movie script written by somebody else,” he said.
Vundavalli said dethroning of a government using hired goondas and spending thousands of crores would happen in films but not in real life politics.
“Political operations are not done with money power,” he said.
BJP official spokesman Sudhish Rambhotla said Actor’s ‘Operation Dravida’ plot has absolutely no basis.
“It is a story narrated by a flop hero. The BJP has no such operations, whether it is Garuda or Dravida, in mind. It believes in people’s support,” he said.
