Union Minister Sujana Choudhary has said that his party is not looking for special status, but for packages that would help the state get on to the path of progress.
Well, on one hand, TDP MPs have participated in a dharna held in Parliament for special status by AP MPs and raised slogans and now Sujana Choudhary says that one must not expect special status.
While he has all along maintained that he and his other Cabinet and Parliament colleagues have been trying hard to get special status, the new tone of the Union Minister is surely a little surprising, though not unexpected.
He has also said that calling for bandh in AP for special status is useless at this point in time and said that TDP will not be participating in the bandh.
Now it remains to be seen what TDP head Chandra Babu Naidu has to say now.
