Vulgarity Crosses Limits In Politics!

Vulgarity Crosses Limits In Politics!

These days, politics in the Telugu States seems to have degraded to the level of street fights and war of vulgar words.

Political leaders, cutting across party affiliations, are indulging in cheap comments against their rivals, thereby crossing all limits of decency.

Everybody had watched comment made by YSR Congress party MLA R K Roja against Telugu Desam Party president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu that the latter was luring rival party MLAs as there were no “magallu” (men) in the TDP.

Her comment has invited wrath from not only common people, but even from her own party leaders. There were criticisms that Roja had crossed her limits by using such indecent language.

But the TDP, too, does not have shortage of such “cheap” leaders. TDP legislator Bonda Umamaheshwar Rao is one such leader.

One does not know whether he was given the green signal by Naidu or not, Bonda shot his mouth off at Roja immediately, saying she was in the TDP in the past and she had fair knowledge of how many “magallu” (men) were there in the party. Needless to say, it was a very cheap and vulgar comment.

Last evening, too, Bonda made ugly comments on YSR Congress party MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy in a television debate. He called Chevireddy as red sander smuggler and a thief. He also addressed the YSRC MLA as “Orey Chevireddy.” One doesn’t know how far this kind of leaders would go, denigrating the politics.
